DNA Synthesis BW
1. DNA replication is the process by which a double-stranded DNA molecule is copied to produce two identical DNA molecules
2. With cell division, each new cell has a complete copy of the DNA, so replication is required.
3. Since DNA has two strands, replication is possible, because each strand can be used as a template to make a new strand.
4. Building a new strand of DNA base by base or piece by piece is called DNA synthesis.
